Prior to Boost's involvement, the client had approached several other "web design companies", who were actually web builders or web developers. Their visual skills were limited so the client felt the sites they proposed were 'clunky' and not well thought through from the user's perspective. In addition to this, most of those they had already approached were poor at contacting them and reluctant to meet on-site. The Practice Manager, Ruth Cooper, had this to say: "It's so reassuring to be able to tackle all queries in one fell swoop, with you right here in front of us, so we can all chip in together … we're delighted with the website … Thank you also for your investigative work, which has helped us deduce which parts of our system can hook up with the front and back end and integrate all our admin and patient data."
